Christmas

It is amazing how quickly Christmas seems to come and go.  The anticipation, the getting ready and then it is gone.  I'll just post in pictures!  Seems to be the story of the blog these days!

Newport Christmas

The kids and I spent the first day of our break at the Newport aquarium. I had been wanting to take them to the Scuba Santa show.  And why not now while we still have our membership!  Being the first day of Christmas break for much of NKY, the place was covered up.  I'm glad we have been before and could just see our favorites.  Caroline LOVED seeing Santa in the water.  What's better?  He couldn't touch her!  See that big grin on her face?

After the aquarium, we hit up our favorite pizza place down there, Dewey's.  Jack ate his age in pizza.  He was pretty proud.  I can pizza if he will eat like that.  While waiting, I let him try taking a picture of Caroline and me.  Kind of neat to see his perspective...

Then it was Caroline's turn to get Jack.  He was hamming it up for her!
And Jack wanted a picture with the big tree before leaving!

Family Photos

(4 posts this morning....this must be a record!!)

Not sure if I posted these yet.  Our sweet friend Jessica Ross took some pictures of us several weeks back.  So happy with them!  I think you will see why!  I look at these and think, "who are these big kids?"

Gingerbread Fun

***multiple postings this morning***

Aunt Bev came to visit last weekend.  The kids had a ball spending some quality time with her while Tommy and I got to sneak away to celebrate our 7 year anniversary and his birthday.  What a nice time for all!  One of the highlights was the decorating of gingerbread houses.  They did this last year and Jack has been asking when he would get to do it again.  Bev was one step ahead and even got two houses this year.  Caroline was pretty thrilled she would get to fully participate this year.

Santa!

Well, I would love to say that we ALL love Santa around here.  I will let the picture tell the story.

Love this.  Especially that Tommy had to be in the picture too!

November

So it is pretty obvious that I have been a slacker blogger.  Life has kept us pretty busy!  I'm just going to highlight in pictures.  Too much to really try to detail!
I love this sweet smile.  She is such a sweet hearted (but sassy) little girl.

Jack using the leaf pile as his landing pad for catching the football.

Yes, Tommy was launching them into the leaves.  They loved it!

Halloween Highlights

What a fun Halloween.  The kids really enjoyed it this year.  We started off the evening with dinner with close friends who just happen to live across the street!  Then we headed out to start trick or treating. Both kids were a bit reluctant at first, but Caroline seemed to pick up on it faster.  She would take the candy she was handed and then help herself to more in the bowl.  It is ridiculous how much candy they accumulated in such a short amount of time!  Anyways, here are some photos!
Ready, set go!

Smiling with Mommy

We love the McFarlands!

so cute together

"so heavy mommy!"

She asked to have her picture taken with this.  She kept telling me "not scary, happy!"

worn out!  People would tell her how pretty she was and she would respond "I getting tired"
