July Update in Pictures

July has flown by.  I feel like June was spent recovering and out of town.  So when we got home in July, that is when summer began.  Sadly, August is almost here and with it brings the return of school.  It has gotten so routine to get out of routine.  Nap time is later; bed time is much later.  Most nights it is after 9 before we come in from outside.  Oh well.  Enjoy these days of them being little and running around trying to catch fireflies.  And did I mention most nights the neighbors see Caroline in her panties?  We need to work on that whole keeping the clothes on thing.  That might be nice for her teachers!

Here's our July in pictures...

Fireworks for the 4th

Cow appreciation day at Chick-fil-a...yes, they got a free meal for this!

What's better than a day at the Dayton air show?  One that also includes the Monster truck show!  yes, they did both in one day!

Growing up

Seeing pictures always seems to enlighten me on just how quickly my children are growing up.  For example, check out this photo of Caroline at age 2 years:

and then this one of her at 1 year:

Oh my goodness!  Wow!  She has changed so much this year.  I guess the biggest thing to me is how she has thinned out and gotten so tall.  Not to mention so much personality and spunk!  She would rather walk around with her panties on backwards than ask for help on putting them on.  And yes, completely potty trained, essentially in a day.  Any of my doing?  No, I don't think so.  I think she's very head-strong and independent.  She was ready, so she did it.

But the meaning of this post was to share some of the wonderful photos that my friend Kerry took for us a few weeks back.  I think she did such a great job capturing the personalities of the kids.  And it is no act, they were having a wonderful time that day playing with the little tea set!  Thanks again Kerry!
