I like to move it, move it

Caroline has been a very content, stationary baby. Even now at 11 months, she is not doing a traditional crawl. It is so hard not to try to compare every bit of their childhood's, but at this point, Jack had been crawling for several months. I think part of it is that Caroline doesn't have much need to crawl. Jack brings her everything! We have been working on that and she is trying to move a lot more. Some how, she does manage to get herself all around the house. I caught a video of one of my favorite movements of her's. Caroline likes to flap her arms and bounce on her bottom to get from point A to point B. Here she is a bit distracted and ends up flopping to her belly, but you get the idea. Our little birdie! It's hard to believe she'll be a year next month!

Snow Day!

What a bit of snow we have gotten lately! Today we were out with lots and lots of snow. Jack and I took advantage of Caroline's naptime to go out and try the new sled Tommy bought. Tommy got to work from home, so he had to stay in and work (and listen for Caroline). Anyways, here are some of the highlights. Jack is really loving all the new snow!

The kids enjoying the big box that the diapers came in. They had fun coloring the inside.

Jack helping clear the driveway.

Yes, I shoveled the driveway!

What fun!

Feeding Time!

Caroline is a champion eater. At first it was nursing and now her table food. She doesn't turn away much. Now though, so much of her personality will come out in her high chair! Her school teachers get a kick out of her letting them know what she likes of the school lunch as well. She's only got two bottom teeth, but she's doing great with just about anything we give her. Tonight we had meatloaf, potatoes and veggies, and she loved it! Here are some fun pictures as the dinner progressed.

Loving the meatloaf!

Her new "all done" face....accompanied by snorting out of her nose. It's really quite funny. I've got to upload a video of her doing this.

Putting out the lower lip to really say she's finished. There's no getting past that!

"Stop mom!"

Misc

Here are a few pictures of random times around our house. The kids are having fun with each other. I'm loving watching them play together. I do know all too well that one day this won't always be the case. I think everyday that Caroline gets closer to crawling, things will change a bit! For now though, I'm savoring the sweet moments of them showing pure love for each other! Jack is so sweet with Caroline.

Jack will lay on the ground in front of Caroline so she can rub on his face, pull on his hair and love on him. Here she goes!

Now they are both laughing!

Sibling Love

Can you tell I've been up since 5am on Saturday morning? On a roll...3 posts! Here are some pictures I just love. The kids are at such great ages that the really like each other. Jack does get a little testy with Caroline now as she is starting to get his toys. She's not fully crawling yet, but is getting on all 4's and getting what she wants! It won't be long at all though. Here are some pictures of them loving on each other. Yes, that is Caroline in the blue. It was a waste to let Jack's old heavy, warm sleepers sit in the garage in boxes this time of year! Who says girls can't sleep in blue?

Our happy, happy girl. What a blessing she is!

Jack being a good big brother. He really loves his baby sister.

Snow Day!

A little late in posting (and yes, this is my 2nd post today!), but we recently had 3 snow days in one week! Winter is definitely here. Jack loved the snow this year. He helped me shovel the drive way and even put snow all over our neighbor's dog. The temperature didn't seem to phase him a bit. Now Caroline on the other hand, we were only able to get one face out of her. No smiles for her! She only lasted a few minutes outside. Maybe next year!
